Oliver Power is the founder of Oliver Power Studio, a Los Angeles-based practice focused on residential design, renovation, and project management. His work is shaped by a deep belief that a home and its landscape are a single environment, and that the best renovations honor that connection, a perspective shaped by growing up around the work of his mother, renowned landscape architect Nancy Goslee Power.

Before architecture, Oliver spent years directing and producing commercials and documentaries, running his own production company. That world, built on translating vision into execution on deadline, shapes how he approaches every design project.

His hands-on training began at Frank Gehry's studio, working on physical models during the design phase of the Walt Disney Concert Hall, and later alongside OMA (Rem Koolhaas' office) on the Universal Studios masterplan. Four years living in Tokyo, studying at Waseda University, further shaped how he thinks about space, material, and precision.

Every project starts by hand. Sketches and watercolor studies let clients see and feel a space before it becomes a drawing. From there, the work moves into 3D modeling and precise documentation, tested against real dimensions, code, and buildability. Oliver runs every project with a producer's mindset, staying hands-on from design through construction and coordinating contractors, consultants, and landscape architects along the way. He's equally at home on the job site and at the drafting table, with a genuine understanding of how a home actually gets built, and a steady, solutions-focused approach when things don't go exactly to plan.

For projects requiring a licensed architect, structural engineer, or landscape architect, Oliver works closely with trusted professionals to ensure every project meets code and is built to last.
